The Vineyard Intimate Dining
Experience a magical evening at Fayetteville's only Intimate Dining restaurant. From the quiet and elegant ambiance, to the soft jazz music, to the carefully choreographed service, to the incredible cuisine, and the hand-picked wine list, your dining experience at The Vineyard will be like no other.
Unlike many restaurants which are managed from the dining room, The Vineyard is managed from the kitchen, with a focus on the food and wine. Our executive chef Donovan Vos was trained in South Africa and learned his trade under some of the world's top chefs at the famous 21st-floor revolving restaurant high atop Capetown's historic Ritz Hotel. We believe you will agree that our cuisine is some of the finest in the world.
So whether you are proposing to your sweetheart, celebrating an anniversary, wanting to meet clients or associates for a quiet and uninterrupted business dinner, or simply looking for an elegant and relaxing night out, please call or visit us today. We look forward to serving you!
The Vineyard Story
When the 1889 Centennial was held in Fayetteville, North Carolina, not far from where you are sitting was located the largest vineyard east of the Rocky Mountains. November that year, The Fayetteville Observer depicted the estate as "situated on an undulating table" on the Cape Fear River with "upward of 100 acres in bearing vines...kept as neat and trim as a lady's flower garden. It is simply a thing of beauty," wrote The Observer, "utility being left out of the account, well worth a day's journey to behold." The wines aging in those cellars were said to resemble the fine Spanish and Madeira wines, many of which are found on The Vineyard's wine list today.
The vintner, a prominent farmer, writer, and Congressman, opened his home as a center of hospitality, where guests were always welcome. Although the estate burned down in 1961, that spirit of hospitality lives on in The Vineyard Intimate Dining restaurant. For over a century, family and friends have gathered around the table for good food and wine in Fayetteville's own vineyard. Today we proudly carry on that same tradition: great food, friends, and of course excellent wines, paired specifically for the entrée selections. Our wine list features fine imported wines from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and South Africa, as well as some of the finest domestic wines from California, Washington, and of course, North Carolina. We trust you will enjoy your intimate dining experience at The Vineyard. If we can do anything to make your visit more meaningful, please don't hesitate to ask.
